Ganga, chill out downbeat music? A way of singing apparently.

What do you know?
I thought my bandname was the name of an indian holy river that originates from 3 holy places in India. Badrintah, Kedernath and Gangotri. That is also true ofcourse, but now I learn its a way of singing also.
Here is what wikipedia writes of Ganga:
Ganga is a type of singing from rural Croatia and Herzegovina. It is characterized by a lone singer singing one line of lyrics and then others joining in for what can be described as a wail. It is a very passionate form of singing, which is one of the reasons it has been limited in popularity to small towns. However, several popular Croatian musicians have incorporated some ganga into their work. Only recently has ganga begun to address political issues, frequently adopting overtly nationalistic overtones and incorporating themes from the Croatian Homeland War. Although both men and women perform ganga, it is extremely unusual for them to perform songs together. In the past, it was not unusual for both Catholic and Muslim men to perform ganga together.
Well, I am not sure whether this is a main interest to anyone but me, but its nonetheless a fact that Ganga is not only a chill out downbeat music act from Denmark. It is not only the first half of Ganga Giri or a holy river in India.
Its a singing practice from centraleurope.
Maybe some more vocal tracks would be appropriate.:-)
