Runaway, electronic duo of Jacques Renault and Marcos Cabral, jumped from Parisian dance label, I’m A Cliche to its own Brooklyn imprint On The Prowl for the second single “Dead Dog Farm.” This time named “Dead Dog Dub,”. The remix treatment comes from Sal P, singer of Downtown post-punk dance act Liquid Liquid, and his production partner at the moment Sean Bee. Jump in for some nice buzzsaw guitar abstraction, cool trumpet drones, unrelenting bass figures and the best spoon-drumming on this side of Soundgarden. This track’s subtle cool funk is a must for fans of both Liquid Liquid and Runaway.
