Brandon (Properly Chilled NYC): This is a really, really good album. It takes so many turns in style that it’s really impossible to pick a favorite. That kind of choice really depends on the mood you’re in at that moment. Thankfully, this music is so good that it does a great job of progressing you through all its many moods. Great work.

Vinny Da Vinci (House Africa): “Excellent” Supertight!”

Ryan Sullivan (Gutfeel Records): “Awesome music!”

Ian Bang (www.dv.fm):

“Always Been a fan of Ganga, this only cements it! Brilliant move to have Vanessa Daou on vocals, and the Electric Horse track is awesome, eighties refences aside (Michael Jackson-ish bassline, and Talk Talk-ish piano hook) Will support 100% :-)

Black Liquid (House Sounds of LA):

“I am a big fan of chill out and lounge music. This will go down well here in LA”

New Ganga album out aug. 1st -”More Light Please”

Friday, July 10th, 2009

IbizaI know that I am repeating myself. That must be an age sign, but now its for real. The new album is to be released on the 1st of august.
It will be available in all major stores, Beatport, Emusic, Itunes, Amazon,24/7 and so on.
I have decided to go only digital on this release.
I am releasing it on my own label – Flinc Music – and decided 2009 is a good year for going only digital.
The crisis is everywhere and the peolpe with the money to invest in projects like mine – labels and banks – sit tight on the money, and CDs are more of a promotion tool anyway.
If they are interested – the labels – they wont spend on promotion, and then I will rather keep it for myself – and my friends – hehe.
I am not saying I will not ever release a hardcopy of this album, but right now is the right time for not doing it I think.
I am happy about the album, which has been underway for some time – some of the tracks are nearly two years old.
One track – “When I CLose My Eyes” – with Cecilie Acklon on vocals – was actually left out when I made the last album. But I like the track so much, that I decided to ut it on this album.

Later this year, there will be a remix album with remixes of this track. By – amongst others – Razoof, Valentin Huedo and Haranaki.
Old time collaborators Steen Kyed and Helle Chirholm and violinist Niels Skovmand are also playing and contributing on this album.
Along with special guest and eigthies diva Vanssa Daou. Its a remix I did of one of the songs from her latest album. “Heart of Wax” is the name of the song and her latest album is called “Joe sent me”. Highly recommendable – I LOVE her voice.
The album is good mixture of electronic and acoustics, maybe this time with more overweight on the electronic sound.
Helle Chirholm – whom I have discovered many believe sounds like Horace Andy (espicially on the track “All I Want” – are performing the nice and cut up vocals on “Uran” – a funny track and one of my favourites. The lyrics are … well… out there and the meaning of them is hidden even from Helle herself I think. Many homemade words and weird weird frasings – just how I like it.
Kick the door in on logic and rationality – we have plenty of that around occupying too much space in my opinion.
I hope you will enjoy it.
I cant post the cover now, but when the function allows me to again, I will do it.

More light please – chill out downbeat

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

So finally I think I am about to finish up my new album.
Its called “More Light Please” and is going to be up for download in…
I would say at the most two months.
The physical CD is longer on its way I am afraid, but should be here before
summer – in good timefor that.
I know its been a while, and I know that I here and there have
written some dates that didnt happen.
But now its almost done.
Many considerations have been made as to which direktion the proces should go,
and at some point its like it has a life of itself.
I also had to take some breaks once in a while and do other stuff. I produced
the whole Claire Ross-Brown album with Berry Sode, a Petrol EP (get it here:
http://www.emusic.com/album/Petrol-Multipassion-MP3-Download/11372103.html),a
Prox album (get it here : http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=287340764&s=143441)
and scored some films as well.
So its been taking its time, and its good that way. The mastering session is this saturday,
so thats it. The audio is finished.
I think thats all for now folks – going out to rehearse with a band now.
